Ìpẹ̀ means appeasement or begging as used in "Ẹ bá mi ṣe ìpẹ̀ fún-un" i.e Help me beg or appease him. "Onípẹ̀" means "the one who appeases" or "to appeal" (mostly on behalf of others). "Dé" means arrive or come. It is given to a child whose birth resolves existing enmity among family members bring about forgiveness for a wrong earlier committed between couple. - Prince Adémọ́lá Oyèdòkun
