This is a name given to leopard hunters or their family. The meaning of the name is not easily deduced from the sounds. The praise name of the leopard is "Ògìdán olólà ijù: Lion the chief tribal marker of the jungle." This, perhaps as a result of the sharpness of its claws and teeth, capable of "marking" just any prey.
