Àwọn àlàyé mìíràn
In Yorùbá, ọlá can mean "affluence", but it can also mean "the benefit of..." as in the name Ọláìyá (the benefit of mother). When people say 'Ọlá XYZ ni mo jẹ' it means a person has benefited positively from the influence of another. Many times when this is invoked, an unpleasant outcome is averted simply because of the goodwill and social capital of another.
