Meaning of Shónẹ́yìn

One with strong ones (or sorcerers) in their bloodline.

Extended Meaning

"It's Oshó-oun-ní-ẹ̀yin. But it's pronounced in the Rẹ́mọ dialect which means 'I have 'sorcerers' in my bloodline. The word 'sorcerer', I quarrel with because of its negative connotation. We tend to use wizard but that suffer the same fate. I have always just said 'the strong ones', which is a catch-all for brute or spiritual strength. It wouldn't work for this purpose but surely there's a better word." Lọlá Shónẹ́yìn
